Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office if you have any thoughts or suggestions to improve our community. I’m available at Peterson@OhioSenate.gov.  or (614) 466-8156. I look forward to continuing our good work in 2020.

Attending the Signing of the
U.S. China Trade Agreement in D.C.
I was honored to attend the signing ceremony of the U.S.-China Phase One Trade agreement at the White House. It was a proud moment for me to witness the signing of this historic document. The Agreement itself benefits Ohio's workers, farmers, and business owners.

In addition, it will open up the market for new products to be made right here in the great state of Ohio.

Recognizing the Centennial
of Women's Right to Vote
I am a member of the Capital Square Review and Advisory Board, which heard from the Women's Centennial Suffrage Committee at our meeting earlier this month. We, alongside the WCSC, were looking for a way to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of women's right to vote! I look forward to seeing these exciting plans come to fruition in 2020.

Joining the First Lady of Ohio to
Announce the Imagination Library
I had the opportunity to join First Lady Fran DeWine and Representative Shane Wilkin at the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library in Waverly for the launch of the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library, a program that will promote early childhood literacy.

If you have a child or grandchild under the age of 5, I encourage you to sign them up for the Imagination Library at
ohioimaginationlibrary.com. Each child will receive a new, age appropriate book every month mailed to their home.

Investing in Rural Ohio
In the state operating budget this past year, the Ohio General Assembly funded the Rural Industrial Park loan program. This program invests in rural Ohio by providing low-interest loans to develop and improve industrial parks and other public infrastructure in rural areas. I'm proud to have been a part of the efforts to refund this loan program.
