Asphalt Institute Announces New President
The Board of Directors of the Asphalt Institute voted to affirm the nomination of the Presidential Search Committee to hire Reed Ryan as the next President of the Asphalt Institute.
Reed has extensive experience in many facets of the asphalt industry. As a lawyer he served on Senator Orrin Hatch’s staff and was part of the legislative side of the asphalt industry Later he worked with industry to start and grow the Utah Asphalt Paving Association into a highly successful group of contractors, suppliers, and associates all focused on high-quality asphalt pavement. Most recently, he became the Executive Director of the Asphalt Paving Alliance to take his passion for the industry to a national level.
Chip Ray, chair of the search committee, shared with me, “We looked at several top tier candidates, but, in the end, the search committee made a unanimous decision to nominate Reed to the full board for approval. He stood out as the right candidate.”
