Meet this year's Summit emcee, Beth Z!

Since her first Motorola RAZR flip phone, Beth has made a verb out of the word “nerd.” Although the only real trophy she ever won was for making perfect french fries at McDonald’s in high school, Beth Ziesenis has been featured on Best Speaker lists by several organizations who write best speaker lists. She has written a whole shelf of books on apps and has spoken to more than 100 thousand audience members just like you. And if you’re puzzling over why she goes by “Beth Z”… it’s because she only finds about three people a year who can pronounce her last name.

Foundation Donor Spotlight: Jona Flores

Since the Minneapolis Area REALTORS Foundation’s founding 32 years ago, it has provided more than $1 million to local organizations that work to end homelessness in our communities.

Those grants are made possible by the generous contributions of MAR’s members like Jona Flores.

A relatively new member of MAR (she received her license only three years ago), Jona has wasted little time to get involved.

She is on the Young Professionals Network Committee and was a leading donor at the last MAR Foundation Gala.

NAR calls for local solutions to address housing affordability

After the White House Council of Economic Advisers issued a report last week warning America’s GDP growth is threatened by housing affordability constraints, National Association of Realtors® President Vince Malta issued the following statement, “As NAR research from earlier this year outlined, regions across the country are seeing job growth impacted by housing affordability crises. Some of this is the result of misguided local policy that has inflated prices and prevented building, but the issue threatens to permeate deeper into our economy without action to address the problem more holistically.”
