On July 17, Veterans, Legion members, dignitaries and members of the public gathered at the National War Memorial in Ottawa to commemorate the Legion’s 100th anniversary.
The ceremony honoured a century of supporting Veterans and their families, promoting Remembrance and strengthening communities. It included commemorative wreaths, a youth poetry reading, a Canadian Remembrance Torch and a special Hercules aircraft flyover.
Branches across the country also marked the milestone with local celebrations, helping Canadians recognize the Legion’s history and continuing impact.
