Thank you for your hard work
We would like to give a huge thank you to all Legion members and supporters for your hard work over the Remembrance period. We received countless stories of Legion members across the country coming together during this challenging time to honour and remember Canada’s Veterans. Your efforts help the Legion ensure that Canada never forgets.
If you missed the Remembrance Day ceremonies, you can watch the National Ceremony on the Legion’s Facebook page or get a recap of the day’s events on our website.

Meet this year’s National Silver Cross Mother
The 2020-2021 National Silver Cross Mother was announced earlier this month. Mrs. Deborah Sullivan of Summerville, New Brunswick, will represent Silver Cross Mothers across Canada until the end of October, 2021.
The Memorial Cross – more commonly referred to as the Silver Cross – introduced in 1919, is a symbol of personal loss and sacrifice on behalf of widows and mothers who lose a child on active duty, or whose death is later attributed to such duty.

Canadians share their words of Remembrance
“It’s important to remember the bravery, sacrifice and the history of Canada. I remember for my Grandpa and everyone who fought for Canada.”
“I remember for those who fought for a place in Canada and for those who are still having to do so.”
“Because of the ultimate price our soldiers paid for my freedom from tyranny and hatred.”
Remembrance means something different to everyone. In our Gallery of Remembrance, we’ve asked Canadians across the country to share what it means to them and share stories of those they honour during the remembrance period.
