Alumni Spotlight: Samer Bishay (BSc '98)
Alumni Spotlight: Samer Bishay (BSc '98)
Long before becoming a pilot, Iristel Inc. president and CEO Samer Bishay (BSc ’98) was always gazing at the stars. “That’s probably where I developed my celestial cravings, says Bishay, who wanted to be an astronaut growing up. He was drawn to the Space and Communications program at York, which was established by the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Department of Computer Science, both being in the Faculty of Science at the time.

Within those guidelines, the goal is to make the best use of the University's facilities to meet urgent needs of students, faculty and staff in ways that put the health and safety of the community first. York University's C4 Cross-Campus Capstone Classroom

Pitch a challenge to C4 Students
York University's C4: Cross-Campus Capstone Classroom is actively seeking project partners for the upcoming 2020/21 academic year who have “real-world” challenges that will inspire their students to action. The C4 classroom is a unique space at York that brings together upper-year undergraduate and MA students from across the university to work together in multi-disciplinary teams on projects that will lead to real social impact. C4 projects are inspired by project partners and led by students, and require a mentor from the partner organization, who offers the students subject-area expertise as they work on their solution. For more information, please visit the Capstone Website.
