Former York Lions player Mark-Anthony Kaye got his start at York, where he played Ontario University Athletics (OUA) soccer for two seasons. Now, he's a regular call-up to Canada's national team.

York alumni celebrated for Black History Month
Throughout the month of February we featured six alumni profiles celebrating Black History Month and some of York's outstanding alumni, including Tiffany Ford (BA ’06), Stacey Ann Berry (BA ’08, MPPAL ’14), Amuna Baraka-Clarke (MPPAL '18), Emily Mills (AMPD ’02), Jemaine Wallace (BA '08), and Michael Eubanks (BA ’93). York professor invited to participate in UN panel on Indigenous communities and environment
Late last December, York Political Science professor Gabriel Slowey received a direct message on Twitter from Alvin Fiddler, Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NIAN), asking her to call him. Now, Dr. Slowey, who is also the director of the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies at York University, will join Fiddler and his team in April to participate in meetings at the United Nations
