What does this change mean for Awanui Labs customers?
With this enhancement, Awanui Lab reports will now be delivered in real-time, directly to your Evolution inbox via the ALEX® API.
Over time enhancements to the diagnostic reporting request and review workflows will help clinicians by bringing visibility and prompting to the patient reports requiring action.

How will this change affect my Evolution PMS?
This release of the Diagnostic Reporting Services API will modernise the delivery methodology of lab reports. With this enhancement there will be no visible change to the reports, review process or mapping in your PMS.
I am an Awanui customer, what do I need to do?
To receive lab reports from Awanui, the Medtech Hybrid Connection Manager (HCM) needs to be enabled by Medtech in your Evolution PMS.
● Where your practice is already enabled for Medtech ALEX®, we will simply enable the connection for Awanui to deliver reports directly into your practice inbox. You don't need to do anything.
● If your practice has not yet enabled the ALEX® Hybrid Connection Manager (HCM) Medtech will reach out to you over the next month to enable it. It is a simple process and does not require any downtime. You don't need to do anything, we will contact you.
