Just in case we need to add a WYSIWYG block to every page. We can hide this in the meantime.

Paul, Tennant and James attempt to make sense of the multiple recent announcements of Australia’s transitioning economy.  With the conversation bouncing across many topics and multiple different announcements, the three amigos conclude:

  • There are plenty of new projects in the new economy, but the real story is the enormous SCALE of the projects in the decarbonising economy.
  • The many developments and announcements that come out every day are ‘developing stories’, with lots of twists and turns still to come. And the business opportunities and operational challenges are still unfolding. ‘Watch this space’ for developments… or more specifically, keep listening here.

The team unpack or address a host of issues in this episode, including:

  • The Queensland Government’s announcement of a new Carbon Reduction target, the ‘Energy and Jobs Plan’ … what does it mean for business?
  • Recent announcement regarding gas agreements, and what it means moving forward.
  • The structure and future of Australia’s trade competitiveness as the economy transitions,
  • The difficulties of governments working together at all levels, to achieve goals and outcomes
  • And at a global level, Tennant preview the upcoming COP 27 (Global Climate Change meeting)
  • The future of mobility power- will hydrogen or biomass or battery power be the answer to long distance shipping, aeroplane and trucks?

This episode is a wide-ranging conversation showing the depth and breadth of knowledge of the co-hosts.
