Ever worked for a BAD MANAGER? I have. ⬇️ - My manager used to yell at people. - This so-called leader used to micromanage. - He thought he was better than everyone. - His job security was not helping his employees grow. - He never praised. - This manager was always in a bad mood. Sound familiar? In my opinion, some of the worst-performing hotels are due to poor management and bad ownership decisions. The lesson here is to take your time seeking the right individual to work for/with. Do your due diligence. Ask the questions. We are building a school in Africa! Two years ago, our family was fortunate to travel to our mother’s birthplace in Africa. During the journey, we had the chance to interact with local women entrepreneurs and students trying to make the best of the little resources they have. A year later, our friend, Dhaarmika visited Africa too. Being an educator, Dhaarmika arranged to visit an elementary school in the rural town of Zimba, and a chance to help this school presented itself.  We think this incredible opportunity to help was waiting for Dhaarmika to discover!  When she returned, my wife, Bijal, and Dhaarmika exchanged stories of their experiences, the animals, the land, and the culture, but the most inspiring to them were the people.  They couldn’t pass up the chance to help the humble and kind people they were getting to know. Presenting, Project Zimba, a mission created by a passionate group of friends who were inspired by the stories and wanted to give others the gift of education.  Project Zimba’s goal is to support Sichimwa Primary School by building three additional classrooms which will house a library and computer lab, plus providing needed books and supplies. Every child should have access to a proper education and resources to build a brighter future.
