Counselors are giving back in "difference-making" ways. The BC Cancer Foundation has recognized The Counselors’ Immediate Past Chair, Bill McCarthy, CRE®, (left) and his family with the naming of its new world-class cancer clinic. The planned “BC Cancer – Burnaby McCarthy Centre” will serve the British Columbia city of nearly 250,000 and its surrounding communities, 1/10th of the province’s population. This is the first time the cancer clinic has been named in honor of a patron. Bill's family has supported the BC Cancer Foundation for four generations. He currently chairs the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Campaign while his son, John, (right) is Chair of the Board of Directors for the BC Cancer Foundation.
