Beannachtaí na Féile - Season’s Greetings

Firstly from all of us at Fáilte Ireland, we would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year and we look forward to successfully working with you in 2018.

Some of the highlights from this month’s newsletter include: The latest Fáilte Ireland Barometer Report which shows tourism sentiment is robust and the North American and German markets helped to ensure overall growth in the sector.

In addition, we undertook alongside the OPW the live stream of the winter solstice at Newgrange which allowed the world to view this unique event.

This month to coincide with the release of the new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, we undertook a number of marketing initiatives including a new cinema advert and Skellig Michael promotional video.

Also, to help you navigate through all the emerging trends out there and to help face the challenges of Brexit, our Research & Insights team have devised a series of detailed Tourist Market Profiles and key Insights into increasing satisfaction levels for tourist attractions.

Finally, the first graduates from our 'China Welcome' programme were announced and cyclists are encouraged to sign for next year's Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif.
