Australasian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Conference (AVHEC) 2019

3 June 2019: Australia has achieved the global 2020 targets in hepatitis C mortality ahead of time, with treatment available to manage HBV and a widely accessible cure for HCV offering the glimpse of a hepatitis free future. However, organisations such as Hepatitis Australia have cited the need for urgent innovations to increase treatment uptake and engagement to realise this vision.

ASHM produces a platform to share clinical insights from leaders across the region. The Australasian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Conference (AVHEC) 2019 will outline lessons learned and challenges ahead.
