A word from our CEO: Dianne Kitcher

It is a great pleasure to release our 2016/17 Report Card where you can read more about our progress and results throughout the year. It also showcases our key achievements and highlights some of the work we have undertaken as part of our commissioning and partnerships. Download a copy here.

Meanwhile, the University of Wollongong has completed its independent consultation of general practice staff from across the region. This consultation formed part of our Innovation Project and was designed to gain an understanding of people's thoughts about moving towards a more patient centred medical home model of care. More than 170 people participated in either focus group discussions or interviews, and the results are now in. See more details below.

Finally, we continue to work collaboratively with Capital Health Network – ACT PHN to commission new lead agencies for headspace Canberra and Queanbeyan, as well as the new Bega Valley service through a single Request for Proposal (RFP). The process of co-commissioning between two PHNs has proven to be highly beneficial and has potential for future projects. The RFPs closed recently, with the evaluation currently underway. We anticipate that an announcement regarding the successful providers will be made early in the New Year.
