Walk with Wilson at Caesar Creek
As the leaves begin to change, it's a perfect time to explore a few hidden treasures here in our own backyard, like our area parks and trails.
Tomorrow, September 30 we'll be hosting a nature walk with our friends from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at Caesar Creek State Park—and you're invited to join us. A light breakfast and refreshments will be provided at the Flat Fork Shelter House before we begin our stroll down the scenic hiking trails.
I'm proud to serve as Chairman of the bipartisan Ohio Legislative Trails Caucus and I hope this event will be the first of many highlighting the unique outdoor recreational opportunities that Ohio has to offer.
As your State Senator, my job is about much more than hiking trails though, it's about paving new pathways of opportunities. Your input matters, so let's walk and talk about how we can make our state the best possible place to live, work and raise our families.
Honoring the Springboro High School JROTC Drill Team on State and National Championships
It was a pleasure to recognize the Springboro High School Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Team at the Statehouse this week on their recent championship victories. The team’s dedication and hard work has surely paid off in a tremendous way and I am proud to represent such a fine group of young Ohioans.
Increasing Flexibility and Authority
for County Treasurers to Invest
I am proud to announce that my Senate colleagues have approved my legislation alleviating restrictions on county treasurers, allowing them to expand their investment options. Removing these barriers will help treasurers strengthen their portfolios and has the potential to increase yields, which lessens reliance on tax increases.
Amazon Announces Major
Investment in Southwest Ohio
Over the past few months, we’ve seen very clear examples of our hard work paying off, and I am pleased that Amazon has chosen to build its new distribution center here in southwest Ohio. More than one thousand new jobs will be created as a result of this project.
