Dear Neighbor,

Over the last several weeks, I've enjoyed meeting with various local organizations, including the Warren County Fire Chiefs’ Association, Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, Warren County Board of Elections and many more. I am always thrilled to meet the passionate individuals that contribute to the success and growth of our communities, and I appreciate their hard work and dedication. These meetings are a great opportunity for me to listen to their ideas and feedback for how we can work together to make southwest Ohio the best place to live, work and raise our families.
As always, please feel free to contact my office any time if I can be of assistance to you, or to share your thoughts on the issues that are important to you. You can reach my office by phone at 614-466-9737 or by email at

Remembering Our Friend and Mayor,
William Shearer
I was saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Maineville Mayor William Shearer last month. William was a dedicated public servant who loved his community. He is sorely missed by all of us in Maineville, and I continue to keep his family in my prayers.
Continuing to Fight For Ohio's Senior Citizens
I was honored to be presented with the Public Service Award from LeadingAge Ohio. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure we are taking care of Ohio’s must vulnerable populations, especially our elderly. I look forward to my continued partnership with LeadingAge Ohio as we advocate for the critical services our senior citizens need for exceptional care and successful living.
Financial Literacy Puts Students on the Path To Stability and Personal Prosperity
As a former banker of over 40 years, I know the importance of effectively and responsibly managing finances for a successful future. Unfortunately, with a spike in credit card and student loan debt, many Ohioans today do not acquire the skills needed to manage their personal finances. The ability to understand basic money management concepts is imperative to stability and decision making post graduation.

That is why I am currently working on drafting legislation that would require high school students to pass a financial literacy course so they are prepared to meet the challenges of life when they leave the halls of their school. Please stay tuned for updates from my office regarding the introduction of this legislation.
Supporting Ohio Farmers' Mental Health
Did you know agriculture is the number one industry in Ohio? Farmers dedicate so much of themselves to keep the industry strong, and 2019 has been a difficult year for the Ohio farming community. It’s important we help maintain their mental well-being when the job gets tough, which is why the Ohio Department of Agriculture recently kicked off their #gotyourback campaign. I encourage everyone to help spread the word about these new resources that help our farmers who may be struggling.
