Dear Neighbor,

First-off, I want to thank you for your continued involvement and the role you play to help improve our communities. Our goal of cutting taxes and reducing government regulations is truly having a positive impact on our efforts to move Ohio forward. The most recent jobs report showed a total of 565,700 new jobs have been added in Ohio since 2011, many of them here in our own community.

I am proud of the difficult discussions that led to the major accomplishments of the past two years and honored that my colleagues have re-elected me to serve another two years on the Senate's leadership team as President Pro Tempore in the next General Assembly.

As always, I invite your feedback and encourage you to keep me informed ideas you have to improve our community. Please feel free to contact me anytime at (614) 466-8156 or at Peterson@OhioSenate.gov.

Sincerely,

Bob Peterson
Ohio State Senator
Senate District 17

Fighting to Ensure Justice is Not Delayed by Financial Limitations
Seeking justice for criminal cases involving multiple capital charges can impose heavy costs and staffing burdens on small local governments. Right now we are seeing this in our own community as Pike County struggles to bear the financial burden of providing justice in a horrific multiple-murder cases such as the one in Pike County.

I look forward to working with Auditor Yost both now, and in his new role as Attorney General, to do our best to ensure the state is doing all it can to support counties in unusual cases like this.

Congratulating Local Livestock Champions on Senate Floor
It always fills me with pride to see kids in our community living up to our great agricultural heritage, and I was honored congratulate them on their accomplishments during a recent Senate Session at the Ohio Statehouse.

After spending time with Allison, Emily, Caleb, Eric and Bryan, I am more confident than ever in the future of our livestock industry and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to have in their communities, wherever their careers may lead.

Celebrating the Majestic Theatre's Renovations Funded by State Capital Bill
Chillicothe's Majestic Theatre is extremely important for family entertainment and the culture of this community, and I am proud that we were able to secure funding to ensure it will be enjoyed for generations to come. It was an honor to be invited to see the beautiful renovations first-hand.

Investing $55 Million in Additional Addiction Treatment Services for Ohioans
I am proud of our work during the last biennium budget to invest $180 million in drug addiction treatment programs. An additional $55 million investment was recently announced that will expand our efforts to help those who are fighting addiction have more opportunities to receive treatment.
