MESSAGE FROM MAYOR WENDY WALLER
Mayor Wendy Waller
The opening of the $140 million Inglis development in Warwick Farm has been the biggest headline to come out of Liverpool since WSA Co located its headquarters in our CBD last year.

It’s created a real buzz around the town – from people interested in racing, to residents looking for a lovely place to eat.

But it’s worth a lot more to us than that. When the facility is fully operational, we’re expecting staff numbers coupled with flow-on jobs created in the wider community to come to as many as 300.

A luxury hotel of this size will mean a $25 to $35 million boost to our regional economy each year.

LIVERPOOL POP UP PROJECT
Council is using vacant buildings and shopfronts to help kick-start local businesses and support artists – enlivening different areas of the city at the same time. Three businesses have been selected from the Liverpool Pop Up EOI. In the coming weeks the businesses will move into Northumberland Arcade.

The project started late last year with the Rising Collective on Scott St and Pepper’s Place in the Library. Late last month, four artists took up residence in 52 Scott St, or ‘Studio 52’ as it will now be called.
